Global Wireles Data is Gold Sponsor of Microsoft's Channel Partner Summit
Event Attracts Hundreds of Software Giant's Sales & Operations Partners
Norcross, GA, June 15, 2006 – Global Wireless Data participated as a Gold Sponsor at this large Microsoft meeting held May 16-18 in San Diego. The meeting, which was attended by approximately 600 of Microsoft's channel partners, presented Global Wireless Data staff ample face time to meet with many of the most prominent names in the wireless industry representing wide ranging technologies.
Microsoft's theme for this meeting focused on highlighting the benefits of its Mobile Windows platform. This was the first year that Microsoft had opened the meeting up to sponsorships.
The meeting served as an opportunity for Global Wireless Data to gain visibility and build credibility with the software giant's partner network. Tom French, Global Wireless Data's president and CEO, who was featured on a panel discussion at the meeting, was pleased with the response the firm received from the attendees. "When we decided to participate as one of only two Gold Sponsors one of our primary goals was to educate the other partners about how our services could help them build their businesses. This proved to be an effective venue for us as we spent time speaking to both current and prospective dealers. Many of the partners now better understand how we can add value to their wireless business endeavors."
